The Challenge

The project focused on verifying the cranes' mechanical integrity, operational performance, safety functions, and conformity with approved technical specifications before delivery.

Scope & Approach

Scope of Services

  • FAT Witnessing: Verification of crane functionality and performance against approved testing procedures and acceptance criteria.
  • Functional Testing: Inspection of hoisting, lowering, slewing, emergency stop systems, limit switches, and operational safety devices.
  • Load Testing: Witnessing dynamic load tests at 110% and static load tests at 125% of the specified working load, as defined in the approved FAT procedure.
  • Mechanical & Electrical Inspection: Examination of mechanical assemblies, electrical connections, earthing systems, and insulation test results.
  • Visual & Dimensional Inspection: Verification of critical dimensions, crane outreach, equipment condition, identification markings, and safety labels.
  • Punch List Management: Identification and documentation of inspection findings, verification of corrective actions, and follow-up of outstanding observations.
  • Pre-Dispatch Inspection: Assessment of equipment condition, completeness, documentation, and readiness for shipment.

Project Execution & Results

The inspection activities were conducted in accordance with approved FAT procedures, technical drawings, and project-specific inspection requirements.

Functional testing, load testing, and dimensional verification were documented during the inspection process. Identified mechanical and electrical observations were recorded and communicated for corrective action and follow-up.

The inspection services provided independent technical verification of equipment performance and supported quality assurance and equipment acceptance decisions before delivery.

The Outcome

Through systematic inspection, FAT witnessing, and structured reporting, 3BPSPP tehnične dejavnosti d.o.o. supported the verification of critical operational and safety requirements for offshore lifting equipment. The project demonstrated the company’s capabilities in third-party inspection, factory acceptance testing, mechanical and electrical verification, and pre-dispatch quality surveillance for offshore and renewable energy applications.
