Electrical and instrumentation equipment is accepted largely on factory acceptance and routine electrical testing, where function and safety are proven before despatch. PSPP witnesses FAT and inspects transformers, switchgear, control and instrument panels and field instruments to IEC, IEEE and client specifications.

Inspection covers visual and dimensional checks, nameplate and rating verification, routine and type-test review, functional and loop checks on panels, and confirmation that calibration and documentation records are complete.
