Rotating Machinery

Rotating machinery is inspected and tested at the works because clearances, balancing and mechanical running are set there and are difficult to correct once the unit is shipped. PSPP witnesses the string, mechanical-running and performance tests on pumps, compressors, turbines and fans to API and client requirements.

Inspection covers material and dimensional verification of rotating and stationary parts, seal and bearing checks, vibration and clearance records, and review of the test and documentation package before dispatch.
